Ana Marina’s debut album, HAUNTED, showcases five original songs and five covers, each exhibiting dark instrumental tones balanced with pure soprano vocals.

The album’s five original songs each have down tempo vibes that are dark, yet liberating and ultimately transporting.  The vocals are effortless, and the lyrics poetic, all speaking from the heart and from life’s journey.

The covers are all classically styled renditions of well known songs that follow a similar theme, including Annie Lennox’s Love Song for a Vampire and Desperado by The Eagles. As a whole the album soothes and feeds the soul and heart, much like the music of Ana Marina’s major influences; Sarah Brightman, Sarah McLachlan, and Annie Lennox.

The title track, Haunted, is inspired by the power of the connection between people, even after they have gone.  Akin to the other original compositions, the title track has a beautiful mix of sophisticated vocals, strings, piano and drums, all assisting to create an otherworldly and ultimately very unique sound.

Ana Marina’s journey to HAUNTED took her through major cities all over the world playing lead roles in gothic musicals like Jekyll and Hyde, Les Miserables, and The Phantom of the Opera. After taking a break to start her family, Ana Marina made the transition from singing other people’s songs to writing and singing her own, something she had been dreaming of since her early teens.

HAUNTED is a peek into the heart of the artist who captured the imaginations of audiences all over the world as both Christine and Cosette.  It presents a unique opportunity to engage your heart and mind in hauntingly beautiful songs delivered in the most mesmerising of fashions.
